The Cass County Regional Training Academy offers a full-time Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy. This academy is over 850 hours in length, with more than 100 hours dedicated solely to defensive tactics, firearms training, and practical applications. Our academy provides everything necessary to equip the next generation of law enforcement officers with the ability to excel. The full-time academy operates on a Monday-Friday schedule, with occasional Saturday and Sunday sessions depending on the course requirements.
We offer continuing education for certified personnel. Our certified training consists of classes that are mandatory per POST guidelines annual training. The classes are offered during both the day and night (course dependent). See the Training Calendar section for details.
